Palisades Fire Memorial - Pacific Palisades, CA
SUMMER 2026 ONLY
The Palisades Fire Memorial Tour is an intimate, guided visit to the Chimney Yard—where six historic chimneys, salvaged from homes lost in the January 2025 Palisades Fire, are being preserved for a permanent public memorial in Pacific Palisades.
Private visits are offered by reservation only, with a minimum contribution of $250 per person—additional contributions are welcomed and directly advance the memorial's completion.
Max capacity per group, 14 guests.
Led by artist and House Museum founding director Evan Curtis Charles Hall, each private visit brings guests into direct contact with the in-process memorial and the stories embedded in every brick. Through architectural recollection, oral storytelling, and firsthand engagement with the salvaged structures, guests encounter the Palisades Fire Memorial not as a finished monument, but as a living act of preservation—unfolding in real time, in the place where it matters most.
Hall guides each visit through the origins of the six chimneys—sharing the stories of the architects who designed the homes they once anchored, the families who lived in them, and the dramatic salvage efforts that rescued each structure from demolition in the immediate aftermath of the fire. Together, the chimneys represent over one hundred years of Southern California architectural history and the community's determination to rebuild.
Proceeds from the Palisades Fire Memorial Tour support House Museum's work to complete and permanently install the memorial. House Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
