Every Donation Makes a Difference

Donations to House Museum support the whole organization: the people, programs, and places connected to our work. Unrestricted gifts let us respond where the need is greatest, including:

 

Collaborators: fees and honoraria for artists, preservation specialists, educators and guest speakers who make each project possible

Educational Fieldwork: free, project-based programs for local students

Operations: the everyday costs of running a nonprofit, staffing, accounting

Public Programs: annual events such as The Giving Trees at the John Rowland Mansion, and community gatherings at the Palisades Fire Memorial

Site-specific Artworks: commissioning new work for historic sites and maintaining them

Preservation Research: documentation, archives, 3D modeling and design studies for endangered landmarks

Advocacy and Outreach: raising the profile of under-recognized historic sites through storytelling, press and partnerships
